This is an advanced ultra-wide digital retinal imaging system. This state-of-the-art technology allows us to view up to four times more of the retina compared to traditional methods, giving us a clearer and more detailed look at your eye health.
With traditional widefield retinal imagining, only 15% or100⁰ of the retina can be captured in a single image but with Optomap, ultra widefield retinal image that can be captured is in between 80% or 200⁰ of the retina, this is giving you an increase of over 50% to the next closest imaging devices.
This enhanced view helps us detect early signs of serious conditions such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Retinal detachment, Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and Diabetic eye disease, often before symptoms appear.
